I’m flying!

I’m flying!

Now that you know what you want to create, it's time to let your imagination fly.

Here's where all your work with Dodavi earlier in the year comes in handy.  It's time to sketch out and model what you want to make.

Number 1 will need a very clear idea of what you're planning to build in order to approve it.  Company resources aren't authorized for just anything!

So for this step, grab a sheet of A3 paper from the supply drawers.  Create a really clear sketch of what you want to build, showing all the key details.

  1. You must include an isometric view sketch of your design.
  2. Other views, such as orthographic, may be very useful for showing details.
  3. Clearly show all necessary details and dimensions of your design.

Once again, you'll need approval from Number 1 before you can move on to the next stage.

Now that you have a good sketch, you also need to build a model.  You may choose to build this out of paper, cardboard, foamcore, or modeling foam.

Your model will be expected to be of high quality and fidelity, clearly showing how the final product you plan will look.  When you've got both your sketches and your model ready for review, schedule a time with Number 1 to look over it.

You're in the air, Visitor.  Now it's time to start building.  I'm excited for you!
